Imdaad, Enviroserve join hands to advance sustainable waste management in the UAE

Email :1

Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated and sustainable waste management services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Enviroserve Services, the region’s top recycling and resource recovery company. The partnership aims to promote responsible e-waste collection and reduce carbon footprints across key developments in Dubai, supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 and Circular Economy ambitions.

Smart E-Waste Collection Across JAFZA

As part of the agreement, Enviroserve will roll out smart e-waste collection bins, skips, and recycling points across Imdaad-managed facilities, primarily in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA). In addition, these measures will make it easier for businesses and residents to recycle responsibly.

Measurable Environmental Impact

The partnership is expected to divert 80–100 tons of electronic waste and more than 150 tons of dry recyclables from landfills within the first year. As a result, this effort could save an estimated 540 metric tons of CO₂e emissions, based on current recycling offset standards.

Leadership Views

Mahmood Rasheed, COO of Imdaad, emphasized the importance of this collaboration:
“At Imdaad, we believe sustainable waste management is not just a responsibility—it is a driver of future-ready cities. Therefore, this partnership with Enviroserve brings us closer to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 and Circular Economy goals.

Meanwhile, Shashidhar Y S, Managing Director of Enviroserve, added:
“Every ton of e-waste we recycle avoids hazardous dumping and recovers valuable materials such as copper, aluminum, and plastics. Consequently, by joining forces with Imdaad, we can turn waste into measurable environmental action.

Supporting the UAE’s Net Zero Vision

The collaboration also goes beyond operations. In fact, Imdaad and Enviroserve will launch awareness campaigns, share co-branded content, and take part in sustainability-focused events. Furthermore, their joint efforts will engage both corporate tenants and communities, making recycling a shared responsibility.

Looking Ahead

The MOU will last for an initial 12 months with renewal options. Both companies have committed to ongoing collaboration, strict confidentiality, and adherence to the highest regulatory standards. Ultimately, by working together, Imdaad and Enviroserve are setting a strong example of how sustainable waste management can create long-term environmental and economic benefits for Dubai and the wider UAE.
